Thousands of people poured out of buses in Washington, DC on June 25th to rally for health care reform and lobby their legislators to support a strong public health insurance option.

A new report by Families USA shows that 27.3% of Pennsylvanians under the age of 65 went without insurance for all or part of the last two years. The overwhelming majority were from working families. Read more
A new report on healthcare costs released last week is underscoring the urgency to reform healthcare. According to the consulting firm PriceWaterhouseCoopers, employers’ healthcare costs will increase by 9 percent next year. That means more Pennsylvania businesses struggling to compete and stay viable. And it means even higher premiums, deductibles, and co-pays for working families.
